Submissions

Submissions are presently closed and will reopen in February 2026 once we publish our backlog of poetry from writers around the world.  Thank you again for your interest in the journal and for your work as readers and writers of poetry. 

We are drawn to spiritual poetry because it is immense enough to encompass topics spanning the ugly and the beautiful, the simple and the esoteric, the silly and the profound, the horrible and the hallelujahs, and beyond. 

Beginning in February 2026, please follow these instructions when submitting your work: 

We use Submittable as our submissions platform, which you can access here. 

Please submit up to four (4) poems and/or lyrical prose pieces, as well as a 50-word bio, for consideration. Your total submission should not exceed seven (7) total pages. 

Please use 12 point, Times New Roman font. Please upload your submission as one (1) document. 

Though the content of your poetry can be as wild as the soul is, please note that our template at this time can accommodate only traditional forms in lines, stanzas, and spacing. More experimental forms that employ atypical lines and spacing structures are glorious, but unfortunately do not work with our template at this time, and so we cannot publish such forms.

Two Options for Submissions

Option 1

Standard Submission: $3.00. 

This fee covers costs involved with Submittable subscription, website maintenance, and journal production. Our editors will respond with their decisions within 2-3 months.

Option 2

Expedited Response: $7.00.

For expedited decisions from our editors, please choose the "Expedited Response" option. We will notify you of our decisions within one week of submission.
